In Coachtopia, we’re on a mission to advance towards a more circular future, working iteratively to improve our processes, find new ways of reimagining waste and reduce our carbon footprint.
Reducing our impact at every step
Materials
Every Coachtopia product has been crafted with the intention to minimize its use of virgin raw materials—the production of which accounts for 38% of the fashion industry’s greenhouse gas emissions.* With this goal in mind, we’re creating new products using materials that are repurposed and recycled. Where we do use new materials, we source them from renewable sources, meaning they are bio-based and replenish at a rate that’s equal to or greater than their rate of depletion.

Packaging
We are continually looking at how we can reduce and eliminate unnecessary packaging. In our Retail stores, we provide a single bag with Coachtopia products, which does triple duty as a shopper, dust bag and gift bag. Our Coachtopia shoebox is designed to work as a storage box, a portable shopper and a shipping box. By offering these simple, multifunctional packaging solutions for Coachtopia products, we’re using fewer materials than is typical in luxury stores, and so taking steps to reduce the emissions associated with creating these materials. Our boxes, dust bags, paper hangtags, tissue paper and notecards are made from at least 75% recycled materials.
End of life
By offering takeback in our Coach Retail stores for all Coachtopia products and developing pathways for repurposing and recycling them, we’re working to extend the life of both our products and our materials. When a product is restored, repaired or reimagined and sold in place of a new product made with virgin materials, its carbon footprint is up to 76% less than the comparable new product. *
